Join Us!

Evening Mindfulness Practice 

​We meet the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month, 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Solomons Mission Center, 14454 Solomons Island Road, Solomons, MD.


We gather together to practice mindful movements and meditation, and to discuss practicing mindfulness in daily life.

No registration, donations* to The Mission gratefully accepted.

Everyone is welcome. Our practice is universal and

non-sectarian.

Some benefits of meditating with a group . .

Feeling a shared connection with others by tapping into the same silence and source of peace at the same time.

An environment of acceptance and belonging are important conditions for social animals like us to thrive.

Meditating with a group encourages us to do it and maybe develop a habit.

A group can help add strength to our intentions

Hearing others' experiences, challenges, and insights can be encouraging and supportive.

A group meditating together can generate a ripple effect of
peace and positivity
into the surrounding environment.

Pop-up Meditations at the Labyrinth

We plan to continue having pop-up meditations at the labyrinth located at 10210 H G Trueman Road, Lusby, MD 20657.  We typically begin with a guided relaxation followed by twenty minutes of silent meditation and group sharing. You may stay longer and walk the labyrinth. 

 

These will be advertised through our email newsletter.

 

​Bring a chair or a blanket to sit on.  Bring insect repellent if you are concerned about mosquitoes and ticks.
